Assessment that earns its keep

No exams. No multiple choice. Assessments are practical and work-based — written reports, business cases, briefing papers, project plans, reflective accounts and evidence drawn from your real role. You build artefacts you can use in your day job. Written work runs from approximately 2,500 to 5,000 words per unit, depending on size.

Do I need a technical background?

No. This qualification is built for managers and leaders, not engineers. You’ll learn to evaluate, govern and lead AI work — not write code or train models.

How long will it take?

The Award can be completed in a few months. The Certificate typically takes 6–9 months. The Diploma is usually 12–18 months, depending on pace.

Is this recognised by employers?

Yes. It’s a formal qualification awarded by the Chartered Management Institute and opens the pathway to Foundation Chartered Manager and, ultimately, Chartered Manager status.

Can I just do an Award or a Certificate, rather than the full Diploma?

Absolutely. You can start with a single Award (one unit), step up to a Certificate (two or more units), or go straight to the Diploma. Many learners begin with an Award and build up — you keep the credential at each stage.

What does each pathway cost?

The Award (one unit) is £847. The Certificate (two or more units) is £1,447. The standard Diploma fee is £3,800 — and for the first cohort starting 28 September 2026, we’re offering a launch price of £2,600, a £1,200 saving. Many learners begin with an Award and build up; you keep the credential at each stage.
